TransAM supports three types of organizations:
- Grantor: Within TransAM, the State functions as the grantor organization. State users can be Guests or Managers. State users work with all agency data and manage TransAM policies and funding programs.
- Transit Operator: A government agency created for the purpose of providing public transportation within a specific region. Transit operators can be Guests, Staff, or Transit Managers. Transit operators work with data belonging to their organizations
- Planning Partner: A planning partner's jurisdiction typically covers multiple transit agencies. These planning partners are also known as Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs) or Regional Planning Organizations (RPOs). Planning partners are read-only guests that work with data belonging to their organizations.
